In the following audios and videos, Dr. Li guides you through the embodied flow methods in her book, The Medicine of FlowAt the bottom of this page, you'll find a downloadable 30-day gong worksheet to help you cultivate flow as a regular habit.

The 2 foundational methods to start with, because the others build on them: 

​

  • Inner Observer Breathing (first audio below) -- to return to yourself and become aware of your awareness

  • Pulling Qi (first video below) -- to observe the energy within and around you, and the energy that fills the room, atmosphere, and universe

 

Any method can be adapted to meet your needs. If you're experiencing heightened emotions or intense physical energy, for example, you can do the dynamic methods with faster and stronger movements. If you're exhausted, you can minimize the movements or visualize them. Be ever mindful that you are consciously choosing to meet the moment at hand with greater harmony, presence, and compassion.

Special Note: If you’ve ever experienced dissociation or altered perceptions of reality, or if you’ve had chronic conditions or trauma that make you mentally leave your body, start with the body-integrating methods -- any of the videos below except Pulling Qi. 

​

Physical grounding and embodiment can be an important foundation before venturing into direct consciousness practices. Take your time here; perhaps a few months, or longer. Check with your inner guide, as well as your healthcare provider, about what supports your wellbeing the most.
